Impeccable Day at Race + Religious | New Orleans Wedding Photographer

Shannon McLaughlin

Where to even start with Katie & Derek’s wedding day at Race + Religious? I mean, I’m sure you can tell by the photos but their style was PHENOMENAL. It helps so much that Katie is actually a wedding photographer herself, so she knows all about good wedding vibes.

Of course, I have to point out their invites because talk about attention to detail… One part of their invite is literally shaped like the pool at Hotel Saint Vincent, where they had their rehearsal dinner! If that isn’t adorable and so unique, I don’t know what is.

Second Line

And, duh, it’s a wedding in New Orleans…you’ve gotta have a second line! If you’re unfamiliar, a second line is when a brass band leads the newlyweds (the first line) and their guests (the second line) in a giant parade. It’s seriously so much fun and a NOLA tradition! You’ve gotta check out the pure joy in the photos from this part of their day!

Race + Religious

This venue was the absolute best! The stunning historic building, the pool outside, the overall vibe…it couldn’t have been better. For Katie & Derek, this is where they said “I do” and then, of course, jumped into the pool at the end of the night! The food was INSANE. The florals were INSANE. Honestly, the entire day was the best and I’m so happy we can all relive it through these images!
