Intimate Day in Brooklyn | NYC Wedding Photographer

Shannon McLaughlin

Jake and Lane’s wedding day reflected their life together—intentional, relaxed, and deeply rooted in Brooklyn. As an NYC wedding photographer, I always love celebrations like this: intimate, personal, and full of meaning.

Getting Ready in Williamsburg

They started the day in their Williamsburg apartment, which set a calm, joyful tone. No rushing, no tight timelines—just time to be present. Their mini Australian Shepherd, Pippa, kept things fun and joined us for photos right outside their door.

Neighborhood Portraits with Pippa

We walked through Williamsburg and into Greenpoint, stopping along streets that make up their everyday life. These weren’t just photo locations—they were part of their story. That’s what makes sessions like this so special. As an NYC wedding photographer, I always aim for images that feel natural and true, and this setting made that easy.

Waterfront Moments at WNYC Transmitter Park

Next, we met up with family at WNYC Transmitter Park. The Manhattan skyline and waterfront views gave us a stunning backdrop. More importantly, it gave Jake and Lane a chance to slow down and spend time with their people before the ceremony.

Ceremony at Milk and Roses

Their ceremony and reception took place at Milk and Roses in Greenpoint. The space felt warm, romantic, and inviting. Guests gathered close, which made the ceremony feel personal and connected—exactly what Jake and Lane wanted.

Florals with a Full-Circle Moment

Lane designed all of the florals herself. Every bouquet and arrangement reflected her creativity and care. That experience sparked something bigger—she now works as a full-time florist, which feels like the perfect full-circle moment.

A Seamless Day with the Right Team

Sharon from Celebrate with Sharon kept everything running smoothly. She balanced logistics with ease and helped the day flow naturally from start to finish.

Jake and Lane’s wedding proved that meaningful celebrations don’t need to be elaborate. They just need to feel like you. As an NYC wedding photographer, it’s always an honor to document days like this—where love, place, and personality come together so effortlessly.
