Originally from New York City, Molly and Bob spent years building their life together on the East Coast before making the move to San Francisco just one year before their wedding day. With a deep love for the California coastline, they knew they wanted to incorporate two of their favorite places into their celebration: Carmel-by-the-Sea and Big Sur.

The day began at a stunning private home in Carmel-by-the-Sea, where the couple got ready surrounded by their closest friends and family. The relaxed atmosphere perfectly reflected who they are as a couple—laid back, joyful, and focused on spending meaningful time with the people they love most.

After getting ready, everyone made their way to Love Rock for the ceremony. Nestled along the rugged California coast, the ceremony location offered sweeping ocean views and dramatic scenery that felt straight out of a postcard.

One of the most unforgettable moments happened just before the ceremony began. As guests settled into their seats and anticipation filled the air, a flock of birds flew directly over the ceremony site. It felt almost symbolic, as if nature itself was announcing that something special was about to happen. The timing was incredible and added a touch of magic to an already breathtaking setting.

Following the ceremony, guests traveled south to The Village at Big Sur for the reception. Surrounded by towering redwoods and the natural beauty that makes Big Sur so iconic, the celebration continued with heartfelt toasts, laughter, and an unforgettable dinner. In fact, it may have been the best venue meal I’ve ever experienced—a sentiment shared by many of the guests throughout the evening.

From the charming streets of Carmel-by-the-Sea to the dramatic cliffs and forests of Big Sur, every part of Molly and Bob’s wedding showcased the incredible diversity of California’s landscape. Their day was the perfect blend of coastal elegance, natural beauty, and genuine connection.
